An immersion section is a system whereby the plate bank is immersed in the process liquid and the cooling or heating medium is inside the double-embossed Temp-Plate.
Typical applications for this type of system are ice-bank thermal energy storage systems where the maximum buffer capacity of ice required can be up to 7,500kg (700kWh) or alternatively where an 'on demand' water chiller with a cooling capacity of up to 250kW is required.
Temp-Plate Immersion sections are suitable for cooling by means of either direct expansion (DX) or a pumped system.
